F-auto at Stolbsy boarding school

This time we chose such boarding school to work with it in prospect. We arrived at a decision that it’s more effective to work with the same children. We decided to choose the school which needs help most of all. We did it quite quickly. It is Stolbtsy boarding school for children with features of the development, located in Carolina village.
As usual, the volunteers joined us, which were ready to spend their day off with children. Beatboxers, fire dancers, jugglers, belly-dancers, artists, make-up designers, a hand-maders and the guys from UNESCO.
Here is summary of our trip.

The first acquaintance.

We were going with adventures. And we found the village not at once. It had appeared that there were some villages with the same name in Stolbtsy region. But at last we appeared at the boarding school territory. While we were taking presents, the headmistress and teachers met us and offered us helpers. In such a manner we got acquainted with the first representatives of the boarding school!

The action was planned in the school gym. The gym was divided into the sections: a circus section, jugglery section (here guys from UNESCO were working), a drawing section, a hand-made section, a make-up section, belly-dance section, and of cause Twister game section!!

So, everybody is ready, the volunteers were there. Children’s impatience manifested itself in their expression. We told to children about the program and began the holiday. The first item on the programme was unusual dance, which children liked very much. After this they chose the section they liked most of all.

A drawing section is always the most popular among children. We know by experience that children draw with the great pleasure with the help of adults. Some of the pictures become really masterpieces! This time children drew not only by brushes but also they used the fingers! We created a real picture-show.

Handwork lessons

These lessons are very useful when we are talking about motility. Here children were taught how to make Christmas chaplet of osier branches, neckbands, beads and acrylic paint. Everybody was pleased with the results. We were happy because could kindle children's interest and children were happy because they’d got the chaplets for Christmas and New Year!

Perhaps, the result of image creation was quite surprising. Usual little girls and boys came to us, and then they pass into Malvina, Leopard, and Captain Jack Sparrow, cats, young lions and other characters. Personally I liked Captain Jack Sparrow most. Anton deported himself as a real pirate.

Unusual performance

Volunteers who prepared fire show caught our and children’s imagination. Before nightfall the volunteers walked on stilts, taught children how to juggle and showed other unknown tricks. Many children even tried to walk on stilts.

These lessons became the most important entertainment for the girls. Two volunteers taught little girls how to do belly-dance. All girls were given belly-dance tops, pants and other costumes and accessories. After training the girls showed how they’d learn to dance. Cheers!

Certainly, Twister is the most favorite game for all the time. The children competed with great pleasure how to counterpoise. Children formed a very long form a queue. Many players tried to cheat, however severe referee Pavel kept order)

Culinary duel was waited by children from the very beginning. The most remarkable thing was that only boys were participants! The girls were being learnt how to do belly-dance at that moment. All participants were divided into the two teams. Despite on children’s mental stature they created real fine cuisines! All dishes were eaten with the great pleasure at the sweet buffet.

By the end of action children, inspired with entertainments, forgot about the presents. And we, as it is known, didn’t come without the presents!! This time we formed different packages for boys and girls. And as a result each pupil of the boarding school got his own gift! And we at the same time made sure that it was better to give presents than to get.

The final entertainment was permanent fire-show. The performance was lasting not less than 10 minutes. All this time children stood, having caught their breath. All the children were giving a big hand!
Then each volunteer took 5 children and they together released magic Chinese lanterns in the sky. All of us made a wish.

It was time to depart. It was a really big day. Every body was happy and at the same time very tired. Nobody wanted to part with each other. But we knew that we would visit the children at the beginning of 2012! And children were impatient to see us again!
